The Noose and Kakis: 11 Months of Fresh Air

The hit satirical news-based comedy The Noose is going from the small screen to a no-holds-barred stage performance together with some of the best stand-up comedians from Singapore and Malaysia. The Noose & Kakis: 11 Months of Fresh Air will be staged in the brand new The Theatre@MediaCorp, at 1 Stars Avenue from March 31st to April 2nd, 2016.

Since 2007, a rebel band of madcap reporters has been shaking up the news and current affairs landscape in Singapore. Calling themselves The Noose, they have neither the time nor the inclination for the tenets of journalism such as truth, fact checking or accuracy in their reporting. But what they lack in terms of credibility, they more than make up for with their sense of humour and irreverence.

Now, armed with a clutch of regional awards like Best Comedy at the Asian Television Awards and an International Emmy Awards nomination, The Noose is bringing their unique brand of comedy from television to the bright lights of the stage. Teaming up with some of the best stand-up comedians from Singapore and Malaysia such as Kumar and Harith Iskander, they will skewer all the hot button topics on both sides of the causeway and of course, that certain neighbour who has been so generous in providing both countries with 11 months of fresh air annually.
